실과 초, 그리고 다른 신기한 물건도 가져다 주었답니다.

Pirate ships would lower their flads when Puff
roared out his name.
퍼프가 이름을 소리쳐 부르면 해적선도 깃발을 내린데요.

roar.

His head was bent in sorrow.
그의 머리는 슬픔으로 인해 떨구어졌고
Grief scales fell like rain
푸른 비늘은 비처럼 떨어졌어요
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
퍼프는 더 이상 체리나무 오솔길을 따라 놀러가지 않았어요
Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave.
평생을 같이한 친구없이는 퍼프는 용감할수 없었으니까요.
So Puff that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his
cave.
그래서 힘센 용 퍼프는 슬픔에 잠겨 그의 동굴로 돌아갔어요

1963년 발표한 노래인데 세월을 이기지 못하는 듯 어느덧 노인이 되어 버렸지만
음색만큼은 젊은가수 뺨치네요
피터 야로우, 폴 스투키, 매리 트레버스 3사람의 이름을 따서
만든 포크 그룹..
Puff 라는, 전설속에 나오는 용에 대한 동화같은 노래..
이 노래도 좋아하는 사람들 많지..
60년대, 이사람들이 한창때 부른 노래와
나이가 지긋한 할머니, 할아버지가 되어 부른 노래..
관객도 함께 늙어서 함께 듣는것 같다.
나중에 손자들한테도 노래를 불러줘야 할텐데...^^
